14. FAQ: Verification

14.1. Which functionality can I get with the verification tool?

With this interface you can calculate the mathematical error of a forecast measurement curve in relation to all other data curves of that forecast.

14.2. Can I see the verification results for given curves and a new weighted curve ?

You can see the verification result for the percentiles, min, max, f1-f4, ann and uploaded curves u1-u4.

Select your location and the forecast variable. Goto next and define the true-value curve.

Note: normally this is the curve with the production data.

In the next step you have to select the time frame in which you would like to perform the calculation of the mathematical error.

If necessary add boundaries and in step 5 you have to decide on what basis the errors should be calculated (absolute or percentual values). In the final table you can change the capacity for calculation and you will then see the results for each curve as Mean, Bias, MAE, RMSE and STDV.
